AP clearly thinks we're stupid. Time to start dropping more dramabombs.

OMG this thread is filled with worthless speculation that does nothing more then make a thread that should be half a page be 6 pages.

Can someone explain to me why there's all the hate for mark sief? Is everyone still suspecting him of wrong doing because of 1 hand that may or may not have even happened a year ago?

[/ QUOTE ]

It wasn't just one hand. The hand mentioned is just the most suspicious of the bunch that occurred during stuckinpgh's HU session with Seif.

stuckinpgh talked about the match in question less than a month ago on 2p2. He repeated that Seif open folded to his full house and seemed to play perfectly against him over the course of many hands after leaving briefly and returning. He has never recanted. All he did was back away from his belief that he was cheated, which he said before this new information came to light. He has not posted in the past month. Dan Druff knows him personally and apparently talked to him about the session as it was happening.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showth...page=0&vc=1

We don't have any proof of shadiness on Seif's part because apparently no one has the hand histories in question. If we got access to them and found out that stuckinpgh's story is accurate, how would you view Mark Seif then? Keep in mind he has denied that the hand ever happened.

Edited for poor wording.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mark Seif is guilty by association isn't he? I mean, he's pretty high up on the food chain at AP isn't he? Does anyone really have to prove beyond doubt their beliefs about him anymore? His reputation has already been destroyed hasn't it? If he left AP, ask yourself what online site would hire him or welcome him as an investor?

Seif may be entirely innocent of all wrongdoing of course, nobody has proved otherwise at this point, only accusations. But his association with AP is enough to cause long term damage to his reputation. Right or wrong, guilt by association has harmed many people in the past just as if they were convicted of the crime itself.

3) "Employee showing hole to mgmt" most retarded lie ever?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it's a pretty good lie. They needed to get an explanation that the casual player would accept and that could not be disproven easily. They know the HH has been outed so they fabricate a story that can be used to explain that while ignoring the other claims that indicate this is an ongoing problem. They address as little as possible while getting a semi-positive headline.

Seriously, does anybody believe this? The ripped this excuse right out of a poorly written Die Hard movie. The only thing missing is Bruce Willis blowing up Absolute Poker and yelling "Yippee Ki Yay Mother [censored]!!"

saw this on p5- supposedly the first email that AP will send out to its customers

"Dear Valued Player,

Absolute Poker has identified an internal security breach that compromised our systems for a limited period of time. The cause of the breach has been determined and completely resolved. In addition, all necessary resources, both internal and external, have been engaged to ensure this does not happen again. Our investigation is not fully concluded, and we wish to thank the extended poker community for any and all assistance related to the matter.

Game integrity has always and continues to be of the utmost importance at Absolute Poker. The Management of Absolute Poker is appalled by these findings, and is committed to our players and to the integrity of our site and the online poker industry.

All players affected by the security breach will be identified during the audit process that has been initiated and all funds, including interest, will be returned. Absolute Poker would like to apologize for the recent events and is committed to diligently working with outside security firms, auditing firms, the extended poker community and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission to ensure the situation is entirely resolved.

A comprehensive statement will be forthcoming shortly providing more details of the situation."
