View counts is more useful than you think. If lots of people are viewing a thread they might have a valid reason for it and it may give me a look at something I wouldnt have done in the first place.

Do you oot guys like breed from the same inbred rat or something? Is a differing opinion so hard to have? View counts dont correlate to reply counts unless you want the same filler posts of A++++++ GREAT THREAD BLAH BLAH BLAH
edit: just to add, having view counts also lets me estimate how long a thread has been around, if its new, it its old etc etc. This would be on the same level as PokerTracker removing a useful stat from the HUD.
