Okay, so everyone seems to be focusing on the name rather than how these women are acting/reacting, which was really the point, I might as well contribute this one:

A couple my wife knows gave their son the name Bruck.

When it comes time to name kids, I'm definitely looking for an opportunity to give my kid a name with an umlaut.

KotOD,

Judging from the amount of discussion this subject generated among a group of largely single and childless guys, the fact that women get really worked up about it shouldn't be a surprise.

Bruck is not a good name, but I named my daughter Sullivan so what do I know. I know somebody that named their son Bronx and another that named their daughter Luxe.

I think what names you chose for your kids is a pretty solid measurement of your overall worth as a person. No offense, LFS.

Oscar is solid. wikipedia says it means "god spear" in Olde English. Although it also is Gaelic for "deer lover".

Well, it'd have to be spelled Führer.
