Default $16: ITM hand against solid 2+2 reg

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (3 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Button (t4970)
SB (t4355)
Hero (t4175)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with x x
Button folds, SB raises to t4330 (All-in), Hero ??

Villian is a good 2+2 reg, he has pushed the last 4 hands from the small blind.
What range of hands are you calling with here, and what range do you put willian on?

Probably something like 88+(77?),KJ+,A9+. you still have enough chips to play but could probably call wider profitably.

What calling range do you think the villain puts YOU on? How have you been portraying yourself so far? What hands have you showed down? Given that he's 2+2, he's probably pushing anything that gives a +ev given your expected calling range.

I guess its stronger, but would you not call with A2 way before 22 even though 22>A2? Less than 88 you are almost certainly flipping while decent Ax hands or face card hands are generally ahead.

well according to KS ranges 88 is really strong compared to those other hands. KS ranges arent perfect for calling i dont think but they arent too far off. for example there are countless bubble situations where you can call with TT+ or w/e but not AKs. so yea 88 is good and Ax sucks

22 is worse that A2 usually but this changes very quickly. A6 < 66 and AT <<<<<< TT.

edit: oh and grats on the score tonight

I'm always asking myself:
Why would we dislike a flip when we got the PP?
55% is a lot more than 50% in the long run.
But I never saw anyone write about this particular issue.

Are you calling with more PPs? Tighter than A9+? Tighter than KJ+?

Edit: If they are shoving 25% (which could be too wide) then it looks to me that 77+,A9+,KQ+ is ahead of their range barely.
