Default Duty on Party items delivered to UK?

Anyone had any problems with this? I may as well get myself a $200 pair of sunglasses from them before my points expire but seeing as I smash/lose 3 pairs every summer I'm not going to be happy if I have to pay Customs to get hold of them. Anyone had experience getting items from Party to the UK?

There is no duty, don't worry about it, I've had several deliveries no problems.

I've never had any problem, although I didn't get anything expensive.

I've had this happen to me before. You get a bill for the duty that needs to be paid, but so does Party. They pay it, so just ignore it. You'll also get a copy of the receipt in a few months.

Ahhhhh, Party pays the duty. No wonder they are shutting the store down. Despite being listed on the London Exchange and doing none of their business in the States all their stuff gets shipped from there and they get charged through the nose by Gordon Brown. Oh well, instead of just setting up a European store (or, god forbid, go to the trouble of setting up different stores in major European countries where they have 10s of thousands of customers) they'll just shut the lot down and offer what will likely be the equivalent of 1% rakeback or similar.

Cheers for the info anyhow guys, will order a nice pair of sunglasses to replace the last expensive set I bought which got smashed when my head got shut in a train door.
