Villain shows up with QQ+ here. Fold turn for sure.

Am i way off or why don't we call pre and then raise the flop? Pretty sure we are ahead of his re-raise range on that flop.

and so why is that a reason to raise?

Thanks all for the responses...... Villain stats are over a large sample size (2k+), achieved by datamining....

Maybe i wont understand this ever, but i still believe that folding this preflop is too weak vs a bigblind reraiser with these stats in postion.

But this obviously only counts if you can play well postflop, in this case i think the best play was to call the flop and fold to the second barrel. Because his range of hands to second barrel this flop is crushing me.

But allot of the times, i am winning this pot, sometimes by hitting my pair or occasionally by floating him. Also you have a good chanche to gain some value from weaker aces in this spot.

Thats why i think folding this preflop is way too weak...

Also if anyone is interested i can post the result of what happened after my spewy spewy BAD river call........

Also some people say raising the flop, but i think thats the worst thing you can possibly do here...... your either way ahead or way behind in this spot, and your also in position, so no reason to raise this dry flop

Grunch

What is the reason we are calling this tight players 3bet preflop here? What flops are we happy with considerng his tight preflop range? I don't really see many profitable situations postflop, and thus, I just muck preflop. Given positions it might be a blind defense, and his range will certainlu open some due to positions, but I don't think a 18/12 borderline nit is gonna be 3betting you light OOP. What are your stats, OP? What is your attempted to steal? If these are aggro and you have taking his blinds before, then we can play the hand. Not without such history though.

Flop float seems fine. We now beat 88/99/JJ/TT and AK.

Turn is usually a fold. I don't see him 2 barrel bluffing this completely blank turn card. You only beat a bluff at this point, and he probably isn't bluffing. I put him on QQ/KK/AA to be honest.

Same situation on the river. You only beat a bluff, and he is very unlikely to be bluffing. foldeth.

wow , you are saying that he 3 bets preflop only with these hands..... thats a bit too tight IMO (considering that he probably bets any flop)
i think we beat any pair, a10+ kq and occasionally a kjs or a high suited connector
