K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] = terrible flop.

Not 456 2 suited in a raised pot. Your equity is great here.

lol are you really complaining about a flop where you hit a set?

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you even look at the flop?

[ QUOTE ]
this flop isn't that terrible. push

[/ QUOTE ]

explain?

[/ QUOTE ]

We did. Like 8 times.

You beat overpairs, flush draws, 2 pairs, pair + OESD, etc.

But if it makes you feel better than feel free to keep contradicting us.

Apparently you don't want to listen to what everyone is saying.

If you have a solid read that this particular villain only checkraises with a set or better in this situation, then yes, fine, you can fold. This is a very unusual and difficult read to be certain of, though.

Most villains can checkraise with a fairly wide range here. You're just making the usual cbet you always make, so villain probably assumes you just have whiffed overcards. The SB could have any number or draws, so this villain has good reason to think top pair is the nuts here.

I thought at first this was a limped pot and I wasn't sure but being a raised pot easy shove.

My main reason to post hands is not to auto-listen to everyone, but to discuss,
i think thats the best way to learn, and improve your game.

Agree with you, but only if this situation were HU....
I m not making my 'usual cbet' because there are 2 others in the pot, and i am basically committing myself to the shortstack fish (if he calls). He knows i have at least some overpair in this situation, cerainly not some whiffed overcards...
Thats why i dont think villain is thinking that his toppair is the nuts here.

Most overpairs would reraise preflop.....
Most of the times flushdraws would only call in this spot (because of the comitted fish), to make drawing better...
what kind of 2p you have in thought? Since i have bottom set, only a few 2p combinations are likely.
Agreeded on the pair+OESD though......

Seriously i am not nit.... Normally i treat every set as the nuts.... But on this flop (and situation) i was seriously questioning how good i am doing vs his range....

At the time you make your cbet, the pot is NOT protected. The shortstack only is committed if he calls (he folds alot to your cbet here obv), so your bet really doesn't look very strong at all.

Also, he's a retarded shortstack, so he could be calling your flop bet with literally anything.

None of this adds up to the primary villain being shown a ton of strength or whatever.

(really sorry, hate to disagree AGAIN)

If i make a 10 dollar cbet with a fish that has 20 dollars i am basically not folding EVER if the fish shoves on me. (Cause of the good odds) So i never have some random overcards in this spot.... because i wont be able to call a shove....

So indeed the cbet has to look very strong to villain.
