I'm pretty sure Brad Faxon has had the same putter for 15+ years? That should be a good indication.

Fax was the example I cited, he used the same Pind MyDay for over 10 years, I believe he recently got a Scotty in the bag.

I used to have a ping putter, the standard one. i never was comfortable.

i switched to a 2-ball and never looked back...huge difference in the way i feel and approach putting. most of it is confidence, but i think it's just a solid putter that helps you make a steady stroke.

I'm not sure there's a "standard" ping putter, but I'll assume you mean the Answer, which makes you very very weird since that putter inspired probably half of the putters made today (and pretty much everything Scotty Cameron makes that isn't the futura). I've never met anyone that didn't like the Answer style putter, even if it wasn't their favorite.

I agree that the Ping Anser was a revolutionary design that almost all major club companies have a variation of.

Tiger uses the "same" putter, just updates it occasionally as Cameron releases a new line. I remember he used to use the terylium insert cameron (a classic in my mind) and now has the studio style but its always the Newport 2.

I think the weighting and feel of odysey, ping titleist etc putters are way better than knock offs. I switched to a 2ball center shaft from a Newport 2 cameron and like it for the most part. It mainly helps a ton from 6ft in.

That the new technology is a lot of hype. Putting is all feel and the "new and improved Cameron's" are for the stiffs who like shelling out $300 every year.

Maybe being regarded as one of the best putters on tour despite not being that great at everything else.
