Overlimpreraise hand
Live $1500 MTT. Blinds 300/600/75. UTG limps. I am in 5th position with 11K. I have AJo in 5th position. I ask how much he has? Someone says he has me covered. I limp behind. Asian player in CO raises to 2800; he is wearing a WSOP bracelet, is aggressive, and has been raising limpers. UTG folds, and move allin. Well played hand?

this was good, that asian guy was raising super wide there. [/ QUOTE ] You were at the table. The raiser seemed to be automatically raising at limpers. I was a little suprised that he folded so quickly to the overlimpreraise, given pot odds. He must not have had much. He couldn't put me on much more than what I had, maybe at best 99. My overlimp was in mid position. It helped in getting a fold that I asked UTG how much he had. People at the table said they saw the overlimpreraise coming based on that, and probably thought I had a stronger hand than I had. My question was sort of a tell and the raiser should have picked up on that. |
