I personally hate blocking bets because they look so damn weak and almost always get raised. As played I would personally check fold this river. Definitely can find a better spot to put your stack in.

I hthink the $1 did nothing since it looks almost as weak..

I think there is a high likelihood that he was chasing and hit. He definitely made some bad calls if that's the case, and I think you made a good fold. With four clubs on the board and your opponent calling so much, and then shoving, I think the fold is a good move here.

He is right though, that last 1 dollar bet is just plain pointless.

u have to check/fold this river 99% of the time. turn u could consider checking as well.
