Default New account for rakeback?

I'm currently signed up on FT without rakeback. Would the easiest way to fix this be to just create a new account with rakeback, then transfer the money from my old account into it?

Do FT or the rakeback providers look down on this? If so, what should I do instead?

If you have a real money account at FT then you will not be able to get rakeback on that account.

No affiliate can advise you what to do beyond that....
You most likely need to consider signing up with another poker room if you really want rakeback.

You need to weigh up whether it is better to play at FT without rakeback, or somewhere else with rakeback

Kind regards

Do I not have the option to delete my account, then make a new one?

No. This question gets asked contantly. There is even a sticky about it at the top of the the Affiliate/Rakeback forum.
