Default FT small live tourny low M\'s

Background:
35-entrant tournament, now down to a 9-handed final table. Top 5 are in the money. Average chipstack is about 8000, blinds are 500/1000 with no ante.

Relevant chipstacks:
Me (SB): 8500
BB: 9000
MP1: 3000
CO: 7000
BTN: 4000

I'm in the small blind with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

MP1, CO and button limp. I complete, BB checks.

Flop is 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
checked around to the CO who bets 2000. Button folds. I have a good read on the CO and am 85% sure she has air (no draw).

Question 1: What do I do now?
Question 2: Should I have just taken the initiative and bet in 4 players rather than check?
Question 3: Should I even play this preflop?

2 "big" stacks(15,000-20000), the remaining were 3000-4000

fold pre

as played, and with your read, stick it in. why ask if theres an 85% chance she has air?

because of the players left to act. BB ended up having a 9, but hindsight is 20/20...

Fold PF. If they all want to play limped pots with Ms of 3-6, let a few of them hang themselves.

Thanks for the replies.

These tournaments are extremely frustrating for me. Because so many people see flops with such low M's, steals are near impossible... I'll often enter the final table slightly above average in chips and end up having to wait for premium hands. As a result, I get near the bubble in the redzone and end up playing bingo from there...

Anyone have any advice for this type of table?

completing here is stupid imo.

what are you hoping for? to stack someone for 4 bb on the ooff chance you get a peice of the flop and they have a hand?

bad play. fold pre. and as stated if they are this bad they will be gon esoon. this is easily into push fold territory.

9:1 pot odds was the only reason I called.

what about implied odds. you are only looking at 1/10 of the info out there.
