God I hope that scumbag hits a tree or sth. 'Sorry man, glad you're OK, I just didn't see you because <w/e>.' How much would it actually cost him, financially, just to hang around? Shouldn't be more than like a couple hundred bucks in higher insurance premiums right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, assuming that he has insurance and a license, etc. He may well not have stopped because he didn't have insurance, didn't have a license, had outstanding warrants for unpaid tickets, or the like. If any of those things were the case, it would cost him a lot more than $200 to do the right thing.

I don't know. I was also a bit surprised that no one stopped. There were plenty of people that must have seen everything.

Man, I'm glad you're OK, but...

I hate to say it, but you're one of the problems on the road. You say "it wasn't a brag," and all of this, but you're very proud of being a dangerous driver, and it's really lame.

Someday, when you kill a family on the highway and wind up without the use of your legs or something, you'll look back on this infantile attitude about how cool it is to drive dangerously and you'll realize you could have taken some time and learned to actually BE cool instead.

Again, glad you're OK.

agreed.

ever since i got into my accident a couple of months ago i have made it a point to be a much safer driver than before, and that doesn't even involve being a pussy on the road. you can be a good driver without being a bitch. if everyone drove well you you could in absolute terms drive very well without taking all safety precautions, but you have to protect yourself from the bad drivers so it's always better being safe than sorry.

Correct.
And I don't even consider myself THAT good of a driver really. I'm just not as crazy of a reckless and aggressive type driver as I once was and how I imagine d10 is now.

Kind of strange to not even consider changing one's driving habits after something like this. Wet pavement can be kind of scary.
