Default Petition: NO MORE RICKROLLS

they aren't funny and they are annoying.

A thread like this:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...;gonew=1#UNREAD

People just keep posting fake updates and including a link to a rickroll. It's annoying to have to read paragraphs of stuff that sounds like it might be exciting and then realize the whole thing was trolling.

I can't be the only one?

1st to sign up, I'm glad to see both BBV and BBV4L have actually added rules in their stickies about rickrolling.

That is actually one of the better rickrolls.

Problem with any gimmick...sometimes it can be funny but mostly is terrible. I started the bbv rule just because people were making OP rickrolls. I don't mind it in threads sometimes but OPs is where I draw the line.

I reported 1 or 2 of them to mods when I first saw them outside of BBV and interrupting somewhat interesting discussions.

But some mods seem to dig them okay.
I think they are somewhat annoying and aren't really that funny but actually don't consider them that big a deal.

The longish trolling posts that end in a rickroll (instead of the shorter and more obvious ones) do tend to get in the way though.

I'm definitely on-board for the petition.
