Yeah I'm pretty cynical (lol rly) but this is ridiculous. Blah blah altruism doesn't really exist blah blah charity is all self-interested etc etc yeah we get it, we all studied PHL 101 and Francis Fukuyama in our liberal arts courses. Shut up.

LFS - if they gave $20k each would that make better people?
What about if they gave $50k each? If I only give $100 to a charity when I probably could have manned-up and given $500 does that make me a bad person? Should I just have not bothered to give in the first place because giving significantly less than I can 'really' afford isn't really much of an act of giving?

I understand what you're saying. The amount of positive PR that they are going to get does not equal the amount of effort they put into giving that women this share. I think it's awesome that they did this, but I am sure the ESPN hype machine will turn this into something it's not.
