KQ might check behind river. If villain has air then hero should check. If villain has a big pair hero should shove. Other than that it doesnt matter he will stack trips/boat no matter what.
So basically, checking river only gets more value from air.

I wouldn't three bet this board since it's not very drawy and I would make it look like a "block" bet on the river. If you put him on KQ or the like he isn't calling your all in and if you check he's checking behind.

3 betting the flop is pretty bad because it turns your hand face basically. Im not sure if i agree with the check shoving the river, except against and decent player your not going to usually get called by hands you beat and theres no real draws to protect. So in this sense i like check callling the turn and check folding to any non ace. As this hand plays out i dont really liek the river shove because he has 88 or a high king most liekly and if you make a smallish probe bet liek half the pot K Q probably pays you off while 88 and ace king push all in.

If he´s supernitt fold turn otherwise push. Call is the worst option by far imo. If you push turn u can represent something like 9h7h KhXh. But it all depends on how nitty he is and how weak/passive you are. From your line here id guess u play pretty weak so that might narrow ure pushingrange on turn.

i dont think your line is too good for maximizing EV in the long run, that is by the river he has narrowed you down to AK AA or better...

i would lead turn and shove over a raise from a very aggressive player and call/fold depending on feel from a nit...

i like the fake river block/v-bet ... this linen does not limit your range so much and makes you must more likely to get paid by kj-ak imo

I agree about checking river, he should be betting anything hes calling a shove with and I leave door open for him to bluff. I dont see why turn cc is that bad...
