I mean, even ignoring our cards and the board, is there any possible combination of board cards and hole cards that make that kind of line anywhere close to correct?

if PLO8 is too complicated a game for you, just think of hold 'em. Can you think of any two hole cards and any flop + turn where opening to 3x on the button, checking the flop and folding to a turn bet is anywhere near the optimal play?
