AK is way way different here because there are twice as many combos of other aces when we have 22.

I pretty much agree this hand comes down to how good the other player is.

Villain is unlikely to slow play a set this far on an ace high board.

If villain made trips, he is going to be suspicious that you do not have the case ace, and he may think he has you outkicked if you do. OP's line is not obviously AK and not always an ace.

i think the fact that this is live impacts ur decision from a fold to a call, i think in an online game in high stakes buy in your probably behind when he raises this river, but in a live event with a mindfield full of donkeys, u have to call imo

Live it's soooo read based. But man, purple kool aid death patch makes me want to call and see him turn over AJ.

You need 33% equity.

Board: As 7d 2c 4c Ah
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 34.375% 25.00% 09.38% 24 9.00 { AKo }
Hand 1: 65.625% 56.25% 09.38% 54 9.00 { AA, 77, 44, 22, AQs+, AQo+ }

and I think this is a pretty damn tight range, with no bluffs or AJ- hands. Unless someone wants to argue he AQ isn't in his range here?

Seems like a pretty trivial call. I wouldn't like a RR AI at all, but I think I would actually prefer it to a fold.
(Call > Push > Fold -- am I alone?).

Also, re: bet sizes, I like your flop bet. One of the nice things about live is you can cbet so light, the consequence being you can't value-bet 3/4 pot either when you hit.
