GOP will lose the WH in '08 no matter who the nominees are. Therefore, it is a relatively low-risk environment for Dobson et al to flex their muscles and demand their issues continue to be central to GOP platform, etc. By 2010, so-called social conservatives with make up 60% of the party and the party will be <70% of what it is today as traditional conservative pro-business Republicans continue to peel off from the party of intolerance and hatred that the GOP is becoming.
