i think pavano opening day start is great... if he pitches well it will be such a great confidence booster and everything will be forgotten

And it sure doesn't look like they have much of a team this year. Does any other team have an opening day pitcher who's won 4 games in 2 years?
That said, if the Cards could win last year . . .
