What\'s the final line of Brokeback Mountain?
For the life of me I can't understand it, and despite having subtitles for the hearing impaired there isn't one for this line. There were several other lines I couldn't understand from H.L. but this one was at the end.

I believe he said "Jack, I swear..." or something like that. I took it to mean he realizes what he could've had now that it's too late.

I believe he said "Jack, I swear..." [/ QUOTE ] That's exactly right. If you have the DVD just bring up the subtitles to figure out what people said when it's not clear. |

Yea. I got the DVD from Netflix and after the line I put on the CC, didn't see anything (tried 2x). Then I went back to the previous chapter to see if it was working, and it was.

beat: you all just admitted to watching that movie. [/ QUOTE ] It was actually an excellent movie. The gay romance scenes weren't fun to watch, but the story of living an unhappy life and the sense of resignation and loss was well done. That final scene where he button's up Jack's shirt is heartbreaking. Pulled at the same emotions I feel about my dad (who died at age 44), a loss of my best friend, a loss of all those things I wanted him to be around for. |

beat: you all just admitted to watching that movie. [/ QUOTE ] I'm straight and I freely admit this is one of my favorite movies. It's one of the best love stories out there. Most men are too homophobic to give it a chance though, even if it's just a mild not giving a crap about this sort of thing type of homophobia. |
