Re: 2nd set on co-ordinated board - My best line deepstacked???
[ QUOTE ]
Oh, an ace does he? So you really think he MIN 3 bets 2 players after raising preflop and checking that board. Highly unlikely he has a lone ace here given textrue of the board. A flush draw makes no sense as he wouldn't risk being reshoved. I would allmost snap call this all in on flop if villain reraises all in, but he is almost showing us his cards with the min raise. [/ QUOTE ] I think I call and push a none diamond turn, I actually think there are quite a few hands he might want to build a pot with hoping for a call (or a push) including 65s 53d 33 AA A4s A2s, perhaps he's just pushing you about with diamonds, or a big ace which he thinks is good. Re: 2nd set on co-ordinated board - My best line deepstacked???
If villain was a tight player who was also known to take straight forward value lines with his TPTKish hands, but get tricky with real monsters, then this would clearly be a fold. I think the biggest problem of a lot of uNL posters is that they don't use hand reading enough. They just look at their hand and the board, while they should actually be looking at their opponent and the line he just took. W3CV makes a solid argument considering villains line. Most players are likely to just lead AK here, (simmilarly an overpair on a low board). But when they flop top set, they feel a need to slow-play it a little. Villains check/min3bet into two players is extremely strong indeed.
That said, villain described in OP is unpredictable and loose. A creative player like this will clearly have a wide enough range. Given his preflop numbers he can even have 22, A4 or a combo draw. Also a player like this is more likely to actually get this tricky with TPTK here than for instance a TAG would be. Although it would have been different against a more straight forward player, the optimal line here is to shove. |

Re: 2nd set on co-ordinated board - My best line deepstacked???
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] This looks like AA here everytime. He raises PF, checks the flop, then 3 bet MIN RAISES 2 opponents, 1 of which has check raised the CO, and we expect him not to have AA? It would be a tough fold but it looks pretty obvious what he had. What else could he have, I doubt a player who knows what they are doing does this with AK. This deep I probably muck. [/ QUOTE ] AWESOME. Does anyone just call? He Obviously has an Ace (so he cannot have a flush draw), and 3 and 5's on the turn dont worry us. Or are we concerned he might slow it down if the flush card come... yeah I guess easy raise/push. [/ QUOTE ] itīs not about which hands we are worried about itīs about the cards that can come off that make villain worried... |

it's awesome, that players actually try to make those superstar-laydowns. i would like to know if someone ever folded like bottom set against me or something like that.
whoever advocated folding here is going to be a professional poker player soon |

Easy reraise...possibly a shove based on stack sizes.
AA is possible but not even close to a large part of his range. |

definitely call the $14.50, you are ahead almost always but you 're getting a lot less value by shoving than you are by calling and getting in on the turn
