Re: Teach me how to check a flop (part 2)
Bond,
Are we only talking about 3-bet pots where we miss completely on the flop?? |

Re: Teach me how to check a flop (part 2)
and one more question...
are we 3betting a player who raised in an obvious steal position? because if that's the case, you should cbet roughly 97% of the time, because sometimes stealers get annoyed and call your 3bet with 57s, but then have to fold when they whiff and you bet. not that i ever fall under that category or nothin. |

Re: Teach me how to check a flop (part 2)

Re: Teach me how to check a flop (part 2)
Ths question is entirely read based... You have to guess what kind of hands your opponent is calling your reraise preflop with, and then figure out which ones he'll fold to a bet. Against some players on certain stack sizes their range is very tight and they're not planning to just fold a blank flop since they know you're prbobably firing the flop with anything. Against other guys who don't play well they'll call with some semi-strong hands without any flop plan and fold a decent % of their range. You probably want to fire a lot of A and K-hi flops since mid pairs are pretty likely hands for people to show up with.
