What would you like your cell phone to do that it currently doesn't?

I'd like mine to work as a universal remote.

If you have a Windows Mobile/Palm Pilot type phone you can already do this and have been able to for quite some time. In fact most phones have IR ports and I wouldn't be surprised if you could turn almost any cell into a universal remote.

Tiny implants where your thumb can be a speaker and your pinky finger a microphone.

I would love to be able to have 2 sim cards in a single phone so that i would never have to carry a work phone and a home phone.

This is brilliant.

I saw at a local market a battery that had spots for two sim cards one of my friends bought it and you dont put the sim card in the back of the phone you put both in the battery then you push a special code in the phone (eg. *100#) at it would switch sim cards..

I have no idea how it worked

I have always been a fan of simpler cell phones. If I want a ton of features, I will get a Blackberry or something. Personally, I wish I could get the smallest phone possible with good battery life and basic features. Phone book, calendar, flip phone with two screens. No camera, no speakerphone, no ringtones or music player. It just bothers me that no phone like this exists, every manufacturer has any full featured phone you want, but no small, lightweight minamally featured phones.

Dual simcard phone I know was released, but may not be available in the US. I remember it being directed at international travelers. Here is one I found: http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/dualsim/dualsimcovers.htm.

Yeah, like jws i simply dont use most of the features of my mobile.

I dont take pics unless its something exceptional, so the camera is rarely used, ive used the video function once just to try it and its really rare for me to use it for gaming (ive only one crappy game and no motivation for more) - the only things i do is talk, text occassionally use the notes and calendar function and use the MP3.

Next phone will likely have zero features and ill invest in some small MP3 player like the Ipod shuffle and just carry one 'extra' gadget.

How about a way to have the caller specify the urgency of the call- one ringtone for a "just calling to chat" call, and one for urgent matters.
