Default Another annoying preflop spot with AQo

Live full 10/20.

UTG+1 raises. He looks like he might be steaming from the previous hand where his AK TPTK got cracked. 3 loose players cold call. I'm in the CO with AQo. I look left and notice that the button and SB are folding. BB will likely call one.

i really dont know what to do!

Fold...Not only do steaming players sometimes get dealt good starting hands, but with all of these coldcallers there is a good chance that at least a couple of aces or queens will be in others' hands.

lol no. Reread feeney's essay. He doesn't say to never play it. He just says it is often wrong and is a major leak to routinely play it HU vs a raise. His scenario doesn't include a player who may be raising loose, or people in the pot providing "dead money"

Err, I'm new to this forum. Is a 10/20 Limit game usually considered 'small stakes'? Anyway at my level the cold call seems correct but thats at 3/6, hehe. 3 more loose calls makes the hand to enticing to exit, and the 3bet seems to commit you to giving a lot of $ over to AK, but probably less likely to get post flop action on lower PP if you do hit the ace.

i find 3betting to be the worst of the three options in a 10/20 live game

Chesspain,

Live 10/20 games play LOOOOOOOOSE, so there is no reason to give the field credit for having anything.

OP, if you actually trust your read then call and see what happens on the flop. No point in 3 betting. You already have position apparently, and there's no use in knocking out the BB, because this only helps you if you improve, and he improves also to a have that beats you. That's not too likely.

Before coldcalling here, I would want more of a read on the raiser than my perception that "he may be steaming."

then how wide of a range do we need to give him before calling is correct?

fwiw if no one else was in the pot i'd fold. but 3 loose callers who play bad makes this very enticing.
