[/ QUOTE ] yup, this time should be even more interesting, because the water is so full of algae it actually comes out of the backwasher looking like sour apple schnaps, and leaves behind what looks like a layer of grass.

I converted my pool to saltwater with a chlorine generator just before the start of last summer.
I used the goldline (hayward, rated in the top) i found online for almost half what the retailers locally wanted for it locally and installed it myself. This was the BEST money i ever spent on the pool, and along with the barracuda(cleaner), rendered the pool virtually maintenance free through the hottest summer on record for AZ. I literally only had to add acid on a couple occasions to bring the PH down a bit.
