This thread reminds me of the one Alobar started awhile back, where that pic originated from, where he emptied his entire pool into the street.

Heh, I just read through it again and it is really good. It reminded me of this thread, arguably the pioneer of "ask me" threads, where he linked to "peachy's blog" and got banned for like a month or so.

yup, this time should be even more interesting, because the water is so full of algae it actually comes out of the backwasher looking like sour apple schnaps, and leaves behind what looks like a layer of grass.

hahaha, oh man, I just reread that....that was funny [censored]. Im so glad I didn't get perma banned for that (which is apparently what several mods wanted)

I converted my pool to saltwater with a chlorine generator just before the start of last summer.
I used the goldline (hayward, rated in the top) i found online for almost half what the retailers locally wanted for it locally and installed it myself.
This was the BEST money i ever spent on the pool, and along with the barracuda(cleaner), rendered the pool virtually maintenance free through the hottest summer on record for AZ. I literally only had to add acid on a couple occasions to bring the PH down a bit.
