AK against an agro, is this the best line?
villain is 60/15/4.8 after 50 hands
He seems to be calling every c/bet I do. Is this the correct and the most +EV way to play it against him? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Hero ($14) BB ($19.25) UTG ($21.10) MP ($10) Button ($9.85) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.6, 1 fold, UTG calls $0.50. Final Pot: $5.70 What about c/c the turn and try to go for a c/r on the river? Should this be possible against a villain this agressive? |

Re: AK against an agro, is this the best line?
your line is fine. His bet is too small to just check/call turn. If he is a chronic underbettor such as he did in this hand I'd still bet/bet/shove probably

The turn CR is bad IMO, that board is pretty hard to hit strongly so you're just hoping he has a good TP hand that he wont fold. I'd bet like 2.8 and if I CR somewhere it's on the river.

[/ QUOTE ] Thats exactly the reason why i go for a c/r on the turn. I'm pretty sure he'll bet out with ATC here so I get the extra $1 in. If he has nothing (wich is rather logical on this board) and I bet again, then he'll fold and then I miss those 10BB |

nh. I wouldn't c / r on the river because by just calling the turn again you are offering free cards.

I am not calling the turn Anyways, to OP, there are still quite a few hands he'll call you on the turn to a 2/3 pot bet that he'll fold to a CR. He might even try to bluff raise you, who knows. I think there is more value in betting again. It also builds the pot for when you hit your flush on the river |

Re: AK against an agro, is this the best line?
i just lead turn. but i also lead turn a ton with a HUGE range so this isnt too uncommon. if u are pretty passive on the turn then this line is fine. u could also look to c/c and lead the river. (i like leading river a ton more then looking for a c/r as i think even someone this aggro will check behind the river with a ton of hands that will deff call a 2/3rds river bet
