Default Dark hairs - shaving questions

I'm a 23 year old white dude with dark hair all over my body. I used to shave my body when I was around 16, but gave it up to fit in (well, and I just got lazy). Since I hadn't shaved in many years, I had jungle fever all over my body (chest, tummy, legs, back, neck, shoulders, etc). The past few days I've started to shave my body again and would like some advice and tips.

Every day I try to shave off or trim at least one part of my body. For instance, the first day, while in the shower I shaved the front of my legs above the knees only. The next day I shaved from my belly button down to my pelvis and went over my legs again.

I recently purchased Phillips Body Groomer for men (they have a hilarious website too BTW - http://www.shaveeverywhere.com ), but don't know what else I can do to make shaving all this hair easier. My plan at the moment is to trim my forests with the Body Trimmer, shave with razors, and then touch up with the Body Trimmer again. It's been four days now of shaving and I have about half my body shaved. I know once I clear all the forestry shaving will be much easier (as long as I keep up with the maintainence).

I don't have much money at the moment, so I can't afford laser removal, but I'm considering doing it for my back hair at least sometime in the future. I'm not thrilled with the idea of waxing, but I'd do it if it's necessary or makes things A LOT easier.

So... any tips on shaving the beastly hair, any product recommendations, any tips on avoiding the red bumps, eliminating stubbles, general advice, etc?

TL;DR version: I want tips on shaving my beastly man hairs all over my body.

i think you're just wasting your time buddy. it's gonna be a pain to maintain; your laziness will win in the end.
also: improper use of jungle fever

There are some new versions of Nair out that work pretty well sans chemical burn.

There are many men out there who do keep up with the maintainence. So far I'm doing well and my lady friends encourage me to keep it up. And I bang one of them.

Also, I disagree about "improper use", I just used the phrase in a different way than typical use.

Would be a good idea if the smell of burnt hair wasn't so appalling.

Ha Ha, there was a guy that I used to work with who did this. He was a van driver for a rafting company. Only problem was that he'd walk around without a shirt on because it was hot. So we got to see a shaved chest but hairy back and shoulders. Then shaved shoulders but a hairy back and stubble on his chest. Then a shaved back but slightly hairy chest and stubbled shoulders.

We used to call him The Hyena.

Shaving is the least effective way of maintaining a hair-free body (only lasts 1-2 weeks, if you're lucky). I'd recomment waxing (lasts 3-4 weeks), or if you can afford it, lazing it off (5-6 weeks).
