5/1 OOP Floating with Gutty on New Site
[x] converter fails here are SS's
MP ($82) CO ($97.35) Hero ($101.80) SB ($100) BB ($97) UTG ($139.85) Hero ($101.80) SB ($100) Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises to $3.5, SB raises to $12.5, 1 fold, Hero calls $9. Flop: ($26) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets $17, Hero calls $17 villain is a fairly aggressive reg, we don't have a lot of history. i thought he could be 3betting me light (which is why i called preflop ldo) and on the flop i had 4 outs to the nuts and i thought my ten or nine could be good, and also could turn some extra outs to get fancy with. edit: probably was gonna check behind some brickish turn to setup ultra sick spewy river bluff shove imo |

Re: 5/1 OOP Floating with Gutty on New Site
this is awful. make it 150bbs and i might only grimace. what do you do when you "turn your J" and he fires $50?

Re: 5/1 OOP Floating with Gutty on New Site
if you were to call preflop here with 109s because you think he is 3 betting you v. light, I would think it would have to be with the intention to check/shove flops like this to make preflop profitable.
i really think floating in reraised pots is bad especially out of position unless you know he is incapable of firing more than one barrel and can exploit him badly postflop. |

How often would you smooth that flop with JJ+, AhKh?

Re: 5/1 OOP Floating with Gutty on New Site
i think this is something that isnt bad to have in your arsenal and i will pull it out on occasion when i think i can exploit a aggressive three better when i have position because i think he will never fire twice without a strong hand (which is reasonable to assume here)
I think this is ok if used in the right spot and i do it sometimes when my image is good and i have a good feel for villain's play. if you are using this a lot it is pure spew, but in the right spot i dont mind it. |

Re: 5/1 OOP Floating with Gutty on New Site
let this go preflop until you are fairly certain he's 3betting u light.
then 4 bet him to 30ish if you just call his 3bet preflop and you believe he is 3betting u light, then you have to bluff a lot of flops and this one seems fine to do it on. since you'll prob be comitted with the gs if u make a normal raise, just shove editted coz i thought u had an oesd |
