Default Quick checkup against a donk

Villain is 25/11, only over 50 hands, he has been pretty passive even though his aggression factor says 2.8. I couldn't decide what to do on turn and river, I felt like I was ahead but wasn't sure what he'd call a raise with.

IF you're going to raise somewhere it's probablly best on the turn so at least draws can get charged... i dont think very much calls your river raise.

I would just call the river. It's possible he calls with a T, but I doubt it is often enough.

Looks fine on the turn, on the river I think the raise is fine if you fold to a shove. He calls here with a ten, random low pocket pairs often. Its close though, and I would probably call in the situation at the time.

Raise the turn and get value. Nothing you beat calls the river w/o a thinking player and history.

I probably make it $25-30 ish and obv fold if repoped. I think he calls with draws pretty often for that price.

One reason I dislike calling the baby donk on the turn is that often, I find that bad players use it as a 'probe' or 'feeler' or whatever they think they're doing. If you smooth call, you clearly don't have a Q or better, so whether they have a draw or not, they often pot or over pot into you on the river which makes for some tough decisions.

I'd rather take the bait now, raise, get value from any of the draws, and figure out if there's value in a bet on the river after he acts.

I liked the way OP played, it's a thin value bet against a ten or lower pocket pair.

I don't like raising the turn because a ten would fold most likely (hammer of future bets). Also I prefer controlling the pot on the turn and getting to showdown cheaply than make draws pay.

Once you're on the river, the villain will probably not put you on a queen and will likely call with a ten
