Default river value bet and size ftp 2/4

villain is loose and donkish. plays too many hands preflop, takes weird lines and bets too small when he bets (2.5x PF, checkraising a bet of $22 to $54, etc). and he's made a couple marginal / questionable river calls for decent bets.

so how much do i bet? and is there any argument to checking behind?

$130. Checking behind would be horrible.

Alot of the times I'll raise the flop, maybe turn, but that depends on metagame more than anything.

Raise him on the turn, as played bet large-ish yet still could be called by a donk, say 160-170.. if he's loose you don't want him to rr your 120 with a 280.

Him check/raising should be a pretty small concerns here, If you think he'll pay off full pot with Ax it's fine though. I think betting 120-130 will get max value from Ax.

I like raising the turn here and playing for stacks. As played I would bet strong on the river, close to pot.

eagles- I dont really like your idea of betting $222 on the river at all. Seems like betting that large would turn a lot of people off from calling with an Ax hand that will be more inclined to call a bet within the pot.

Okay, didn't think this was that interesting, just checking. Results were that I bet $124 and he called with 76o. And I LOL'd a little.
