OT: Ethics ? About HU Sit and Gos
Quick question: I play some guy in a $2200+50 HU sit and go and beat him. This is my 5th sit and go of the hour and I'm tired of them, plus I have a student I have to coach and don't want to be distracted by the sit and go.
Anyway, he sits in at one of my HU cash tables and keeps sitting in and sitting out and then berates me for my bad etiquette. He thinks that playing one sit and go and then leaving is poor form whereas I believe that playing one sit and go shouldn't force you into some sort of grudge match or grudge series. So, what's the etiquette: is it poor form to play one sit and go and then not play another one? |

You are in no way in breach of etiquette by only playing one game. Personally I'd just say that I'm busy and that I'll play him some other time.

He sounds like a big crybaby for playing the $2250's.

I don't play HU sngs often, well not anymore because I suck at them but this is fine. I don't think there is any ettiquette about this.

Re: OT: Ethics ? About HU Sit and Gos
You're fine IMO, but I would have played his tilted ass.
Since SNGs have a predecided length (you play until one person has all the chips, then its over) there is no standard etiquette to keep playing after winning. In HU cash games though, you should provide a good amount of warning (at least 10 min, IMO) before you leave when you are winning. |
