Okay, I only watched about 2/3 of this but I have two thoughts. 1)Bill Edler grossly misplayed AQ on his bustout hand. 2)I love the way JJ played that A8 hand.
P.S. Ted Forrest is scary good.

This was a nice change from the last 2 horrible weeks. JJ really continues to impress, if it wasn't for the foresst draw out with the flush the title could have went either way. I'm thinking JJ is probably the best woman mtter out there.

That was the sickest hand I've seen in a long time. Ted flops top 2 & checks, giving JJ a free draw. JJ turns the joint, Ted rivers the flush.

This to me begs the question of whether small ball is advisable on drawy boards like that was.

It wasn't top 2. Ted had K5s on an AKx board...

You are correct, Q8o. Still, was Ted's strategy correct?

I am still confused by Amir's call early on to double JJ up. He raises with A-3. He gets two callers including JJ with A-8. Flop comes 8-7-x (2 I think). It gets checked around. Then an A hits the turn. JJ checks, Amir bets and JJ comes over the top all-in. Why would Amir call that? What is your Ace with a 3 kicker beating at that point. Would JJ check raise the original raiser all-in after the Ace hits the turn if she couldn't beat an Ace with a terrible kicker?

I see dumb calls like this all the time. "I gots a ace and she's bluffing. I call."

The play wasn't very good from the amateurs.

That 2x pot shove by Ted was sweet. I think he put her on a smaller flush.

Is it just me, or was Amir the biggest donk this season, even surpassing the original man of God EG Harvin and Roll Eyes Weiss? Every hand he played he grossly misplayed. He wasn't even that aggressive, which makes it doubly surprising that a guy of his skill made it to the final table. He must've cold-decked quite a few players on the way to the final table.
