Default Legal age for Kentucky home game?

I couldn't find an age law in Kentucky's gambling laws.

If you are hosting a home game -- no rake, etc. -- do the players have to be 21? Or is it 18? Or does it matter?

Java, I don't think it matters as long as your aren't taking a rake or otherwise making any type of profit off of it.

I wouldn't allow anyone under 18 to play in the game. While not exactly what you are looking for the Kentucky Charitable Gaming Laws Act, KRS 238, puts a minimum age to play bingo or charity poker tournaments at 18.

If you have any alcohol at your home game I wouldn't allow anyone under 18 to play.

We turned down a player under 21, but mainly because we were serving alcohol. Just a precaution -- we would never have given him alcohol, but if he had any before he came or afte he left, we could be in trouble.

I, too, finally found the 18 age limit for bingo, etc. If we don't have alcohol, I'll stick with that, but it's very unlikely that we don't have alcohol at a poker game

Do either of you two know of any good tournaments along eastern KY? Looking for something where the top payout is 5k or more with buyins of less than 500. PM me or post here if so please. I've played in a couple tournies in Corbin and Middlesbourgh but it's been a while.

In relation to your question though, I'm not sure what the law is but everywhere I've played they've let anyone 18+ play.
