1 - Why should anyone care? This is the first time I've seen their Who's Now segment and I was impressed with how stupid it was.

2 - If I asked my Mom, sister and GF who David Beckham is ALL of them would know he's some good looking soccer star from England (and I think all might know that he's coming to the U.S.)
None of them would have any clue who LT is.

Beckham is bigger superstar right now than LT

[/ QUOTE ]

not in america.

[/ QUOTE ]

dont you think more people know Beckham than LT in US?

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont think you know what America is, I bet more people know LT than Beckham 10 : 1.

[/ QUOTE ]

you ask an ordinary American to name a soccer player, their answer will be Beckham.
You ask an ordinary american who LT is alot of them wont know

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, but thats because the only soccer player people know is Beckham.

If you asked every person in America, do you who LT is? do you know who Beckham is?

LT would win by a landslide. Im so absolutely 100% on this.

Lets assume most old people know neither, middle aged would tend to know LT as Americans, young adults wouldm most likely know both, and and kids would really work in LT's favor.

If you asked who LT was, most people would say Lawrence Taylor.

Beckham is way bigger than LT and the fact that him and Dinho are ranked 7th and 6th respectively in their brackets shows how stupid ESPN is.

[/ QUOTE ]GTFO. Why do you people consistently think people in the US don't care about soccer? You guys can vote against him, but by the end of the summer all we will be hearing about is Beckham and you can take that to the bank.

I still think Lawrence taylor when you guys refer to ladanian as LT. Also, I couldn't tell you what the guy looks like. Bekham has more star power, which is what this idiotic contest seems to be focusing on.
