Didn't need to. You catch?

Edit: Slight bit of advice: It's not a natural 15-outer. Still, I think it's a good call.

Well, I know it's not a full 15 outs (hence ~) but lets say 12 or 13.

Still; close? not even? dive in?

Yes, I caught.

What are the natural outs? I don't get that.

How can you even question if this is a call or not. This is as easy a call as calling an all in preflop with AA in a cash game.

You have an open ended straight flush draw that's like the best flop imaginable.

Standard, getting 6 to 1 after the raise?

[/ QUOTE ]We are not calling here because we're getting 6 to one. We are calling because we can put in 100 and almost all of our opponents have > 10000 behind and your hand plays well in a multiway big pot.

This is the kind of flop you get it all in on- calling is as good as pushing, but I'd have re-raised the initial bet and tried to get it all in. It's kind of a high variance style, but you have enough outs that I think taking a shot is worth it. I doubt you're behind anyone here, and even if you are the pot is so big it's worth it, especially if you have any FE at all.

And finally, don't talk about "outs" and "odds" at the table. I say that like it's easy to do when critized, but I often justify my play to others. But I shouldn't. Explaining why our play is correct doesn't do anything good for us except wise the table up that we are a thinking poker player and POSSIBLY even educated the steamed villan once he calms down and starts checking out our claims. It's a good thing that he doesn't get your game and thinks you're a donkey. It's a good thing that he feels like this is a flop he can shove into with pocket sixes. Many people don't understand draws in this game and feel like the hand that is rated the best currenly is always the best hand, which isn't true. That you were ahead of him odds wise probably didn't occur to him.

I think the one complaining is the one with 66. Mirror comment still applies though.

As its early on in the tourney, Im prepared to gamble here. You are favourite against AK and even if the guy has K9 hes only a tad ahead. Its a call for me.
