Default $100NL K3s Blind Battle

I don't know much about the villain and I haven't played any pots against him yet. I've raised a few times and taken it down preflop or on the flop, but not played any big pots yet.

Stack sizes:
SB: $188
Hero: $111.40

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
4 folds, SB calls, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $3</font>, SB calls.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($6, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $3</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $12</font>, SB calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($30, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $20</font>, Hero calls.

River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($70, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero is all-in $76.4</font>, SB calls.

Results:
Final pot: $220.8

Played perfectly IMO. I usually pop it to 4 or 5 PF (assuming this is .5/1), because it gives the SB worse odds to call. Everything else is beautiful.

I like this. Do you value bet the river on a blank as well? What if the river blanks and he makes a big bet? A small bet?

No.
Fold.
Scowl and call, depending on the definition of "small"

really, you don't value bet the river if he checks a blank? it seems like you could get lots of it's-a-blind-battle loose calls from a Queen and that 2pair+ hands would bet. and he can't really have a King unless he has 2pair.

I agree with all of this. If I liked my hand enough to be willing to put in a big bet on the river even if I missed then I would have just pushed the turn.

you don't think that if the river is a blank and he checks that your hand is now more likely to be best than after he bets the turn? seems like that river check would give you some nice info.
