Re: Bob Stupak running for Lt. Gov.
There was a great Simpsons moment when Homer becomes a missionary, builds a casino on a primitive island, and after reflecting upon the joy that gambling brings to the natives, says "Now I know how Bob Stupak feels." Or words to that effect.

I can see it now, "I busted every single one of these other candidates before."

He's a creepy looking dude, the embodiment of Mr. Burns in real life. Accordingly, he gets my vote.

[/ QUOTE ] In 1995, Bob Stupak suffered severe facial trauma in a motorcycle accident that almost took his life. Pick up a copy of "No Limit: The Rise and Fall of Bob Stupak and Las Vegas' Stratosphere Tower" by John L. Smith (1997) for Stupak's story. It's an entertaining read and of interest to gamb00lerz. |

I'd vote for him. [/ QUOTE ] Besides me, did anyone watch the live broadcast as he left his campaign headquarters after he lost the mayoral race and addressed the reporters question? I remember it like it was yesterday. In 2000 I sold VegasWorld.com to an 'unknown buyer'. It was one week, maybe 2, after I asked Bob at one of the 1st Carnivale of Poker tournaments if he wanted to buy it, in which he expressed no interest. This was long after he sold out to Lyle and the Stratosphere was done, or near done. RazzO |

Re: Bob Stupak running for Lt. Gov.
Bob's ex-girlfriend Janet Moncrief is running for Lt. Governor as well. The two seem suited for each other.
Stupak's web site includes a picture of a cashier's check for $1M that he wrote to his campaign. Think it's authentic? Doubtful! But that's why Bob is so much fun. Bob also mentions on his website that: "Note: When Bob Stupak is elected, the professional poker player and author, David Skalansky, has agreed to serve as "Resident Wizard of the State of Nevada," helping to better represent the poker community." The ex, Moncrief was recalled from LV city council after falsifying campaign finance reports (for a campaign financed by Stupak). Since the Lt. Governor really can't do any harm, one of these two should win. My vote is for Bob! |
