Re: Does this hand make sense?
No way you are pot committed on a regular steal. You raise to 5k, someone comes OTT of you AI, you can easily let it go, especially w/ this crap. You are still left w/ 14k to play with.

Re: Does this hand make sense?
tight table read and you have a TERRIBLE hand, yeah I lay those odds down, do you think we will win 25% of the time when someone moves in on us on this tight table? Plus we jeopordize the stack we have worked so hard to build on utter crap.
Another thing to consider is would you push w/ AA or KK, or would you try to build the pot? Basically, the hand sux any way and an open fold PF is the only 'correct' move, IMO. |

Re: Does this hand make sense?
I don't see how anyone can even consider any play beside push and fold here. Hero's M is effectively 3 given the players left in the hand.

Re: Does this hand make sense?
What I was trying to put out there is the POSSIBILITY of another move that doesn't risk over 2/3 your stack. Obviously I'm in the wrong spot for that.

Re: Does this hand make sense?
Just want to ask - when people in this forum say "push any two" isn't this the kind of hand you do it with in this situation? If not I don't know where else you'd do it. I mean, tables pretty tight, folds to you in Cutoff, stand to earn t4000 (almost 1/4 of your stack) and have everyone covered including BB. I guess showing J6o could be problematic since BB is say 50% likely to call with any 2 given his stack, but a) is anyone paying attention anyway and b) you can tighten up a lot more if you win now that you're a little more chip heavy + since everyone thinks you're a maniac you can get some loose calls with real hands and double up

Re: Does this hand make sense?
And if you lose? you only have 7.5xBBs so you can't sit back and wait for your big hands. Only reason i dislike this push because of how it affects your table image. If bb was less likely to call say he had 9k, then i have 0 problem with it and would consider it standard at a tight table with the right image.

Re: Does this hand make sense?
The fact that BB is already this short indicates he probably didn't push when he should have been, so he doesn't understand how to play really short, so there's an increased chance he'll fold. So I think a push here is fine.
I think raising to 5k and folding to a push from someone else is God-awful. |

[/ QUOTE ] i agree a push here is way better than a raise/fold to an over the top push or even a raise/call.. even if you are getting 3:1. its really a push/fold situation imo and with the short blind ive noticed they fold a lot here. |
