Re: tough flop spot for staxx
Ugh...if you're 3betting pre-flop make it more. Definitely at least 6. I prefer 7.
I like betting just a little more on flop: like 7.5-8. Ugghh....This is a very very easy fold to his flop raise. |

Re: tough flop spot for staxx
PF guru you must either flat call or reraise more. 7 is pretty standard after a raise to 2. Depends on villain as to which you think is better (i.e. whether you'll take it down PF with a reraise, whether you'll stack them when you flop a set, etc. etc.)
Flop is a pretty clear b/f. Villain flat called your 3b, which means his range here can be 2 overs, flush draw, 9x, 8x, set, overpair (say not KK-AA or he'd 4b PF, but even then sometimes they will look to trap). Oh, and JT. Best case scenario you're up against 2 overs, possibly with a FD, at least with a flush redraw. Rest of the time you're drawing to the tainted out gutshot and/or set. Honestly, guru, it's good to see you at NL50, but this isn't a tough spot for stacks at all. sorry. Results? (and while your at it tell me whether you squeezed in that live thread). |

Re: tough flop spot for staxx
Preflop is fine if you make it ~8. Calling is fine too. Otherwise well played, you flopped 3rd pair and a gutshot, now fold.
