i have it at -2300, for what that's worth.

more importantly, what's this business about j.p. howell not belonging in the majors? i don't think i can be your friend anymore. his xFIP is .10 away from kazmir's, and if i had to pick the majors' most underrated SP, it might be him.

A ++EV bet:

You can get the Rockies at 75 to 1 to win the WS on Sportsbook. You can also get them at 25 to 1 to win the NL.

Coolstandings is broken right now (it updated incorrectly), but their chance to make the playoffs is somewhere between 30-40%. They have a decent shot at the NL West, as well as the Wild Card.

They are one out of the Wild Card (tied with Philly). They are 2 back of Arizona in the West, and 1 back of SD. They have the divisional tie breaker against both of those teams.

They play their last 3 games at home against Arizona. Their ace, Jeff Francis pitches the opener of that series, and they miss Webb.

Also, they've won 10 straight, so if they do get into the playoffs they will be riding quite a streak, and they would be a sexy pick to win the NL pennant at that point. It would be easy to arb them out (in fact, you can arb both of these bets on WSEX right now).

I have a bunch on the Rox from early in the year to win the WS at 100-1, and some more on them to win the division at 22/1, going to ride this crazy train a little longer.

Really need the Mets to pull out the NL East title though, loaded up on them in early August at varying odds from -200 to -250.

my estimates

jump on the SB lines for colorado and milwaukee to win the NL if you haven't already.
