Re: Tough spot. UB 2-7 $80-$160
[ QUOTE ]
heres my problem with 3 betting.. Theres no possible combination of their holdings that makes me a favorite no matter what option i take.. Therefore putting a lot more money in the pot is a long term money loser.. Do you guys agree? I will post results soon [/ QUOTE ] The thing is that you probably have something like 29% equity, so if you can induce the button to break when he would have stood pat better than you, even like 1/10 of the time or whatever, you have a winning play. But as I noted earlier, since he just finished drawing multiple cards and is aggressive, it's a little too easy for him to show up with a draw or a jack or something here and I think the 3bet isn't quite worth the investment. --Nate |

Results
When the SB called two cold i almost timed out thinking, but decided (probably incorrectly) that I was not going to be winning this pot very often and folded..
Both draw 1.. Sb bets and button calls.. SB shows 34558 and button drags 2k pot with 22467. Obv if SB had folded and i stood pat i was going to lose anyways as that 5 makes the buttons hand. Still was pretty pissed to see that result. Thanks for responses guys. |

Re: Results
ok, here are a couple thoughts
-calling and standing pat makes sure the button never breaks anything that has you beat, I think. You really can't have much to not 3 bet and stand pat here. -folding seems wrong given A)descriptions and B) general play in these spots. so in short, I think DD is right. |
