Am I the only one who thinks that the Jets might win this week? KC is starting, the fans will cheer him, he'll be pumped, it looks like the running game it getting together, Harris played great last week. IDK why, just have that feeling we'll win a nailbiter [/ QUOTE ] Washington is good. No, I don't think we'll win. |

Washington is good. No, I don't think we'll win. [/ QUOTE ] Well if there is an offense in the league worse than our own, it's the Redskins. Our special teams is probably a bit better. But they have us big time on defense. So yeah, the Skins should win and are favored to win and rightly so. Hopefully the Jets coaches let Clemens actually throw the ball down field, otherwise we are going to be stuck watching the 2 most boring offenses in the NFL for 60 minutes. |

As a Jets fan living in the DC Area I really really really want them to win (if the Jets only win 1 more game this season, I hope it's this one). It's going to make coming into the office on Monday so much fun. [/ QUOTE ] haha i think i want them to win now just for you |

LOOOOOL @ this:
Tice Could Eventually Replace Mangini? 2nd November, 2007 - 11:19 am Denver Post - Some think if the Jets get rid of coach Eric Mangini, the team could turn to Long Island native Mike Tice, who interviewed before Mangini was hired. Tice is having success as an assistant with Jacksonville. However, it's very likely Mangini will get a third season on the strength of a strong rookie year in 2006. Mike f'n Tice FTL |

Papers must be starving for sports news right now. That's a reach. I do have to say though that Mangini has come off this terrible 8 games of football relatively unscathed (by NY standards). He got real lucky the Mets Collapse, the Yankees short Playoff run followed by the Torre and Arod sagas all occurred the last 8 weeks.

I think Mangini has bought himself one more year just because he was so successful last year. But to mention Mike Tice as a replacement when there are guys like Cowher out there...my God.

Re: *****The Official 2007 J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS THREAD******
Everyone, the expectation should be that Clemons will struggle this week. I'll admit that I am disappointed that Pennington has been ousted as starter. But I won't be waving the finger saying "I told ya so" if Clemons fails to put up good numbers on Sunday.
The reality is that any QB will take some time to bed down has a starter in the NFL. Clemons should now be given the benefit of the doubt for the remainder of the season - and an assessment of the QB position made at that point on the basis of a few games. |
