my registered copy of idleminer closes as soon as I try and get it to start mining. Could this be a consequence of me having to run windows in classic mode to overcome pahud/Vista conflicts? Any advice?

I gave up on idleminer absolute a few months ago. It stopped working and emails to idleminer support were not returned. I tried re-installing and anything else I could think of...no success.

1.60 also immediately crashes for me when i start mining with it in vista.

fortunately, when i upgraded from 1.59 to 1.60, it didn't overwrite the 1.59 installation, so i still (moderately) successfully use 1.59. it still crashes very often, but it isn't bad.

i'm gonna make iwitness + fphg work in the near future, i hope.

My IdleMiner still crashes at least a few times a day. I'm also going to try some different methods.

I would advise people not to purchase this product until they straighten out the bugs.

New problem today. I try to open IdleMiner and I encounter the following error:
"The operation timed out."

Anyone else having this problem?

anyone managed to get iWitness working?

FreePHG is great for mining observed hands but I have to keep closing dead tables and opening new full ones.

Tried the Full Tilt version 1.13 but it crashes after hitting start. Are there any alternatives for this program to mine FTP SNG's?

Shrooma,

What operating system are you using? Also have you tried emailing support@idleminer.com. It is easier for us to troubleshoot you over email.

IdleMiner

The last 15-20 messages are filled with complaints from your customers who e-mailed you, but received no response. They think you took their money, then dropped off the face of the earth. Unless all are lying, it sure appears that your "support" is non-existent. Is it any wonder people turn to their fellow poker players for help?

Your first ever post to 2p2 was advertising IdleMiner (see beginning of this thread), and in that post, you wrote:

Are you no longer willing to stand behind that statement? If so, it's a bit opportunistic to use 2p2 forums to solicit customers, then ignore the forums when those same 2p2 customers have problems with your software.

Your persistent lack of support is what induced me to drop IdleMiner months ago, and buy SpadeEye instead. I've never regretted that decision, and you could learn a thing or two from the way Mr. Snood stands behind his product.

Carl.
