Default 5-10: 87 hits two pair on a dangerous board

Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $400</font>, Hero?

Final Pot: $1440

Two pairs is the nuts but what can I beat? Do you take such a passive line as I did, and do you call the river? Vilain seems SOLID tag. Surely capable of the occasional bluff.

Thanks

Bluffing with what? A TAG calling a pf raise cannot have the "naked" Ac here since his kicker has to make him some sort of a hand.

I think he has a king a lot here, TAGs like treading on weakness like some sort of machoism.

Lead the flop and this hand becomes a lot more playable.

What is your plan if you get raised on a monotone board?

Disagree.

OP, you played it ok, keep in mind that your turn lead looks like the vulnerable hand you have, and is pretty exploitable if you aren't ready to felt this sometimes.

Thus I don't mind two checkcalls, then leading or checkcalling the river. Against a good aggro opponent who thinks he can run over you, your line can be a good bluff inducer. Against a predictable opponent it gets good value out of your hand and doesn't leave them enough room to fold one pair.
