KFCandKA is correct. Costco's return policy is the greatest.
Your satisfaction for the life of the product.

I have returned many big ticket items there including:
BBQ I used for 2 years
lawn mower I used for 2 years
mattress I used for 4 years
Surround sound used for 6 years
$800 worth of stereo equip. that was "rented for free" for a house boat trip - the JBL speakers had numerous cup stains.

I got full reimbursement on all these products.
I also have returned uncountable small ticket items and have never been hassled.

The only thing they won't take back after 6 months are computers

What kind of truck doesn't accomodate a 50" plasma?

An '05 Expedition, for starters. Also, the Expedition is bigger than my '99 Tahoe, so that doesn't cut it either.

Yeah that's not a truck you [censored].

I paid cash, because that's just how I roll; however, I was considering perhaps a homeowner's insurance claim?

Taking it back is unethical.

Put in your new house, burn the joint down and claim it on insurance.

I have an '06 Yukon (i believe same size as Tahoe) and I was able to get a 60" SXRD in the back, in the box, with no problem. Obviously I had to remove the 3rd row seats but they are out most of the time anyway.

If I was you, I probably wouldn't take it back because you'd probably end up dropping it loading it on your "truck" and once more when unloading it at Costco. Those two extra drops would end up eating at your conscience as you asked Costco for a replacement, even though they'd probably just be like "Ok, here you go".

And of course it's unethical. How is that even up for debate? I'd still do it because....well it's $2500 and I want an unmarred TV. But I would have had it delivered.
