Default 200PS: I check/folded my boat

Main Villain(MP) is 40/14/3 over 250 hands. Seems like a solid regular, playing many tables. Other guy is new at the table. Seems a bit too loose.

Would you play it any different?

I either bet/fold or check call the river. If villian has T9XX then he probably would have flopped the straight or a big draw because raised preflop and hands like qjt9 or jt97. In which case he would always bet the flop. I could see villian making this move with nutflush because your turn bet may look like a pot steal or non-nut flush trying to find out if your hand is good.

TimberBee - I think one can make a good case for folding that hand before the flop, even from the small blind. Small sets tend to be beaten by higher sets, straights, and flushes. Small full houses often are beaten by higher full houses.

But once you make a set on the flop, I think you have to bet it. You can't tell where you stand in the hand unless you bet it.

Very scary when you get two calls on the turn!

I wouldn't know what to do on the river. I think I'd check/call.

Note this is the opposite of the previous hand you posted. This time the pair you use from your hand is lower than the pair on the board. This full house is fraught with peril!

(But I'd call anyhow).

I think I disagree with almost everything in this post. I really don't mind the call in this spot. As long as you are prepared to fold an underset should the situation arise, I really see no problem in set mining with double-paired low pockets. That being said, I think that your flop play is fine - there is absolutely no reason to bet out bottom set on an obvious straight board. If you get smooth-called on the flop, you are no better off (hand knowledge wise) than before. The range for calling on this flop is enormous, ranging from 67 to any flush draw, any boat draw, nut smooth call(meh, thats probably pushing it, but w/e you see what I mean). I think your turn bet is also fine. The river is pretty debatable. The second smooth call is obviously worrisome, especially because the str8 flush, etc is out there. I think that I prefer to make a block bet of about $35 in this spot and fold to any raise rather than check/call, but I think that you probably make the +EV fold in this spot.

was just being honest

I actually don't disagree with nearly everything at all, I just realllllly don't think that you should ever bet out bottom set on a 89T flush draw board in a 4-handed pot...

nothing wrong with the way you played it imo, i just hope you werent check-calling on the flop, yes you have a set but with that many opponents you need to fill up and aside from the case 8 i wouldnt be too happy about hitting since these middle cards are played so frequently

i don't play a lot of plo but i was under the impression that hands like this are pretty bad (especially OOP)?

i like your play postflop, including c/f river rather than b/f

I like a CC on this river because of Villans AF and that he overcalled on the turn, I'd expect him to have a lone T trying to bluff out a low flush.
