I doubt villain folds a decent king here, and I assume that's a pretty big part of his range. Maybe he has a jack + FD, but that's less likely since you have 2 other spades. I'd probably just give up, but that's because in general I never expect people to fold anything.

What are you representing by raising so much on the turn? It screams bluff to me. It looks like villain either has a weak King, or maybe a Jack (checked the flop, because scared of the King).

If you bet out on the flop, and then raised the turn.. you might have gotten villain to lay it down. The way you played it..I'd say check behind on the river (essentially giving up) and take notes on what your opponent had.

really not a big fan of checking the flop with the nut flush draw.

you got your perfect card on the riv to represent running diamonds. pot it and cross your fingers.

How often is villain going to put us on diamonds and fold a king here? Also, couldn't villain pretty easily have a K+diamonds here?

well, if you're going to take a silly line like hero took, you have to follow it up with a 2nd barrel if the river card is at all useful, and this one is. makes some straights/twopairs possible besides the running flush.

Ehh, I wait for a better spot here. He called a reasonable amount of chips off on the turn OOP, it's gonna take quite a bit to get him off on the river.

I think you should bet this river a significant portion of the time, make it a larger sized bet also. It's pretty easy to put you on a diamond flush draw considering that you would have bet such a draw heavy board with a made hand on the flop.
Raising turn after checking flop on that "blank" definitely screams draw to me, so if your against a good hand reader i'd definately fire another one out there.

Against more of a first level thinker i'd be much more inclined to check.
