Re: ***Official Pac-10 Basketball Thread***
Gotta chime in as an Arizona fan. We put up a good effort on Sunday against Kansas in a game we ultimately should have won. I had a feeling once it went to OT we were toast. Tonight against CS Fullerton we put them away early and never looked back, which is a relief to many a Wildcat fan considering our struggles with inferior teams in recent years.
As far as the rest of the Pac-10, it seems like everyone will be beating each other up once the conference schedule starts. Till then good luck Pac-10 and go Wildcats! |

Oregon vs K-State should be a really great game to watch. I'm especially interested to see how Leunen matches up with Beasley. Plus, any game where you get to watch Tajuan Porter is fun.

Re: ***Official Pac-10 Basketball Thread***
THe announcer during the UCLA game was talking about Cal possibly being undervalued by pundits so far this year. Of course, he may just be responding to their current perfect record. I was watching a bunch of cbb tonight, and watched UCLA to end the night. They do desreve the #1 ranking. Look forward to seeing them get tested... once the pac10 reg season starts. I think we're going to crushinate the longhorns.

Re: ***Official Pac-10 Basketball Thread***
I'm pretty happy with the K-State game, it was nice to see Catron step up and play a really good game, and all things considered I think we contained Beaseley as well as we could have hoped to. Shooting was a little off, but Taylor came through big when it counted. Most importantly, we showed the grit it takes to win a close game on the road.
I'm still a little worried about who we have to step up in future close games, though. I had thought it might be Hairston in those situations but he was basically nonexistant on the offensive side all game long. Taylor was clutch today, but I'm not sure he'll be the guy to rely on all year. Porter at 5/15 (ten of those shots from inside the arc which is not where he should be trying to score from) is also a problem, especially when Hairston is only 3/8. Give five of Porters two-point shots to Hairston and the offense is a lot closer to what I want to see. All in all though I'm happy with the showing. Go Ducks! |
