yea i get preflop that's perfectly fine, i even kinda get flop although it's dangerous to keep both players in, no? perhaps I've just seen that ace fall on the turn far too many times. were you scared of a 10 and decided to now keep the pot small if possible? were you going for turn checkraise or did you just not want to build the pot anymore, hand just has me curious. I mean I guess you lost the absolute minimum after the flop but results and all that.

Nice playing Clayton. Being card dead and getting 3bet everytime is no fun. I had to get a little creative there.

Speaking of creative, I loved that guy's play where he shoved UTG with an M of 15ish with A3s and you had JJ in the BB. Good times.

How borderline was my call that I stacked off to? 5th Street had been making some very questionable plays (for example, opening UTG to 25k at 1500/3000) and I thought it was possible/likely that he was on a draw. (I had A5 on that 3h5s6h3s board where he check/called my flop bet and potted into me on the turn.)

i forgot which villain that was but i'm fairly sure ur absolutely crushed when he crs the turn. i was surprised to see he had just top pair

*edit - failed to see he cc'd and potted the turn. imo he either has a large draw or he's protecting his onepair hand which he thinks is the stone nuts

ppl who are bad make those boomshoves way more often as a means to pot protect with a good hand because they dont want to see another card scare him and "they might call with a worse hand", etc.

anyways i finished second, raised to 22k at 4/8 and he snapshoved for 450k.

called with A9, he had A8. eightball!!

whoops lol. ggs

thx for sweat all.

Thanks for the insight. One of my biggest leaks is identifying terrible players and finding ways to get into marginal spots against them as quickly as possible.
